Mezzanines

Wildeck mezzanines can use a variety of framing styles according to the specific needs of the project. For the small storage mezzanines we would probably use a c-section design. It offers economical price but has limitations in bay sizes over 20’ in length. For larger jobs with higher live loads we can offer beam and bar joist framing. This style offers live loads up to 300# per square foot and unlimited space. You must take into account the possible composite height using bar joist framing.

Wildeck also offers a truss girder and bar joist framing that will allow access to framing from all sides for hvac, sprinklers, lighting, or other electrical needs below the mezzanine deck. The last style is the all beam design. There are no live load maximums and composite height is not as big a consideration as with bar joists. The main consideration would be the cost factor. All beam framing might be the most costly but if height is an issue, there may not be an alternative.

Decking options for your Wildeck mezzanine can include the most common roof deck and plywood, roof deck and floor plate, roof deck and polytextured plywood or resin impregnated board, bar grating. You can also have your Wildeck mezzanine prepared to accept a concrete deck for special use requirements.

Our Wildeck mezzanines are painted with a self-priming two-part polyurethane paint. Our standard paint color is asa49 grey. We offer a number of standard colors and can have your paint color matched for our two-part polyurethane paint if necessary. If required, we can have your mezzanine hot dip galvanized.

Vertical reciprocating conveyors (vrc’s)

This product group is not an elevator for carrying personnel. It is used only for transporting raw materials, components, or packaged and palletized products from 1 level to another. Because of the no-personnel limitation, the vrc’s are considerably less expensive to install and maintain than elevators.

Wil-lifts can be used as a stand-alone lift or as part of a conveyor system that operates in one or two way travel. Wildeck can design a system with manual controls, one controlled by your controls, or be fully automated that controls our vrc and parts of your conveyor. Lift speeds of up to 300 fpm can be provided to meet the cyclic needs of your project.

Wil-lifts can be powered by either hydraulic or mechanical drive systems. Check with your Wildeck representative to see which style is best for your application.

Barrier rail products

Starting with guard rail products, the Wilgard line has added a number of products to make a broad assortment of guards available to your facility.

Products currently available are:

	Aisle guard rail, 1 or 2 rails high (18” or 44” high posts)
	Bolted or lift-out styles available
	In-aisle rack upright protectors available for 3” &4” upright sizes and in 4 hgts (12”, 18”, 24”, and 36”)
	End-of-aisle rack protectors (standard duty or lite)
	Machine guards from 10” x 36” to 42” x 48”
	Safety bollards in 24”, 36”, and 42” hgts
	Building column guards
	Double drop gates that allow safe operation of 2 side-by-side pallet positions without open access to the edge

We will shortly be introducing a pedestrian pass thru gate for our double rail system that fits into a 4’ section of rail, allowing it to be retrofitted into existing 4’ section of Wilgard rail or added in new installations.
