Fujian Seaward Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd - The Company

Fujian Seaward Pharmaceutical Company, Ltd. (hereunder abbreviated as Fujian Seaward) is located in Jinjiang Technology & Industry Zone of Jinjiang City, Fujian Province.

It is a solely foreign invested high-tech pharmaceutical enterprise registered in August 2001 by China Expert (Holdings) Limited (hereunder abbreviated as Expert Holdings), with registered capital 30 million US dollars. Its main line of business is the research and development, manufacturing and selling of new high-tech pharmaceutical products.

The first phase of Fujian Seaward occupies an area of 100 thousand square meters, building area 40 thousand square meters. For 2 consecutive years, it has been listed as Major Foreign Capital Introduction Project in Fujian Province.

The production base began work in December 2001, and after one year’s intense construction work, it was finished in December 2002 and passed inspection by provincial authorities in March 2003. On November 2003, it passed overall GMP certification once through with excellent scores.

Currently, the factory is consisted of 10 modularized workshops, each with 11 hundred square meter area, independent ventilation system, and can conduct multi-variety and multi-form production. It is the biggest pharmaceutical enterprise of preparation type in Fujian Province, and with the most advanced equipment and newest design and construction.

Currently, three workshops are in operation, of which the production capacity for tablets is 500 million tablets/year, that for capsules is 200 million capsules/year, and that for granules is 50 million bags/year. (The above production capacities are based on one shift, and a factor of 3 should be applied to three-shift production). Utility pipelines for the other seven workshops have already been finished.
In view of such huge manufacturing capacity, our company is very willing to contract manufacture all sorts of drug for other companies. If there is demand for types other than the above three, batch production can begin after a three months’ preparation (for workshop fixing up and equipment installation and testing), if the production quantity is suitable.

Currently Fujian Seaward has 15 varieties in production, of which Nabumetone Dispersible Tablets is the only type of the same variety in China’s market. There will be two to three new products going to the market in this and the coming year.

Fujian Seaward is an industrial company in the medical block under the Expert Holdings. In addition, there is a commercial company and an R&D company in the block. The three of them together are generally referred to as “Seaward pharmaceutical”.

Beijing Seaward Medical Company, Ltd. (abbreviated as Beijing Seaward)

It is a purchased brand-name medicine whole-selling company in Beijing, originally named Beijing Deshoutang, with a history of over one hundred years. The name was changed to Beijing Seaward Medical Company, Ltd. the end last year, and passed GSP certification on January 2004. Through cooperation with others and self-building, it has set up a nation wide market network with high flexibility and broad covering. It has now established cooperative relationships with various domestic and foreign manufacturers, and is a general agent in China of various pharmaceutical products and medical equipments. It has established good cooperative relationships and signed agreements with many domestic commercial companies and terminal institutions.

We are very willing to act as general China agent of pharmaceutical products and medical equipment on behalf of companies at home and abroad.

Beijing Pumeishou Biomedicine & Technology Inc. (abbreviated as Pumeishou)

It is a new drug research company through cooperation with Basic Drug Institute of Chinese Medical Academy.
