STI MODEL 8S
Capsule filling with a production capacity of up to 15,000
capsules per hour
- The Quali-fill Model 8S is an accurate, efficient capsule filling
machine adaptable to powder formulations and pellets. With a choice
of eight filling speeds the Model 8S gives you the capacity to
regulate fill weight.
- Easy to operate, the Model 8S requires a minimum amount of floor
space for convenient placement in a variety of industrial environments
further enhancing its flexibility.
- The 8S is capable of capsule sizes ranging from size 000 through
size 4.
- The reliable performance of the 8S is augmented by and internal,
self-contained vacuum pump which requires no water.
- Automatic operation of the closing device can easily be accomplished
by the connection of a 1/4 or 1/3 HP. air compressor to the air
cylinder closing device. (The compressor is not supplied with
the machine.)
STI MODEL 10
Capsule filling at up to 25,000 Capsules per hour
- By maximizing filling speeds and ensuring fill weight accuracy,
the Model 10's proven design has resulted in faster production
and more accurate filling.
- The machine has a below bed capsule closing station which provides
protection to the operator while ensuring no product loss.
- Operators may sit or stand while operating the machine, thereby
greatly reducing fatigue and increasing operator efficiency.
- The machine is manufactured from stainless steel and aluminum,
with durable polycarbonate and stainless steel guarding which
makes the machine exceptionally easy to clean while maintaining
cGMP.
- Specifically engineered size change components ensure that
change-over times are kept to a minimum.
- Precise rectification speed and accurately controlled drive
tables ensure the correct delivery of capsules to the filling
ring and to the powder delivery system.
STI Automatic Pellet Filling Equipment
- Designed to fill at a maximum rate of 1000 capsules a minute
requiring less than one operator per machine.
- Operator training can be accomplished in only two hours.
- Capable of filling sizes 0 through 4, the machine requires
less than two hours for size changeover and cleanup.
- Fill weight adjustments can be made while the machine is running.
- Excess pellets are recycled to the hopper and a positive action
controls filled capsule length.
- Removable covers and side panels make adjustments and maintenance
easy to accomplish.
STI Oil and Paste Filling
Capsule filling at up to 25,000 Capsules per hour
- Capsules are rectified, separated and joined, using Quali-fill
Model 8S or Model 10 filling machines. Then, using this machine,
oil and paste products can be filled into capsules with very accurate
fill weights.
- The process is both easy and economical.
- Easy to disassemble, clean, and reassemble.
- Fill weight changes can be made in process by a simple hand
wheel adjustment.
- All parts which contact products are made of stainless steel.
- This machine can be utilized for filling capsules of Sizes 1,
2, 3, and 4 without additional change parts. Size 0 and size 00
can also be filled with optional change parts designed for each
size.
- Operator training can be accomplished in only two hours.
- Capable of filling sizes 00 through 4, the machine requires
less than two hours for size changeover and cleanup.
- Removable covers and side panels make maintenance easy.
STI Capsule Sealing Machine, Laboratory Model
- The STI Capsule Sealing Machine, Laboratory Model simulates
the sealing process of Shionogi's production sealing machines
- the STI S-15 and the HICAPSEAL 40/100. The machine is capable
of producing approximately 100 sealed capsules per hour per capsule
sealing slat.
- The STI Laboratory Model Sealing Machine is designed to seal
the joint between the capsule cap and body in order to prevent
leakage of liquid products, reduce oxidation of the contents of
the capsule, and to minimize the the odor problems associated
with both solid and liquid products.
However, the most important feature of the STI Capsule Sealing
Machine, Laboratory Model is to demonstarate the tamper resistant
nature of the seal. Once sealed, the capsule is almost impossible
to open and reclose without leaving evidence of tampering.
- Since the STI Capsule Sealing Machine, Laboratory Model simulates
the production Quali-Seal machines, it is possible to make low
volume runs for clinical trials, comparative studies, stability
studies, etc.
The ease of changeover from one capsule to another also makes
it possible to use the STI Capsule Sealing Machine, Laboratory
Model as a method to evaluate a variety of capsule and sealing
band color combinations.
- Capsules filled with any of a number of liquid, gel, or paste
products (as well as solid dosage forms) are manually loaded into
the capsule carrying slats. The slats pass through the sealing
process identical to the production STI machines. This ensures
a complete and highly accurate sealing operation.
CP-4200 Capsule Polishing Machine
Sturdy and reliable, the CP-4200 is designed to reduce the incidence
of strangers, and to disassemble easily for cleaning, inspection,
and/or changeover.
The CP-4200 replaces other types of polishers such as salt pans
and cheesecloth with an effective method requiring no chemicals
or disposable products.
Manufactured in the USA, the CP-4200 is a state-of-the-art, low
cost solution to your capsule cleaning problems. With its 400,000
capsule per hour throughput, the CP-4200 is the perfect in-line
companion to an automatic or a semiautomatic capsule filling machine
or as a stand-alone polisher for batch operations.
Capsules are conveyed carefully through the polisher by means of
a soft nylon rotary brush that gently removes dust and powder from
the capsules. Vacuum is used to carry away debris including any
loose caps and bodies that might be included in the lot or that
may occur during polishing as a result of incompletely locked capsules.
AUTOTURB 3 Microbiological Assay System
The Autoturb3 System is designed to analyze the potency of antibiotics,
vitamins and related substances. This system can be used to assay
virtually all known antibiotics. The Autoturb3 can also assay many
vitamins, including the following: B12, Folic Acid, Niacinamide,
Pyridoxine (B6), Pantothenic Acid and Panthenol. The complete system
consists of 2 modules:-
Reader and Diluter Module – Automatically prepares the required
dilution of the sample and the standard reference substance with
an inoculated liquid growth medium Spectrophotometer displaying
a digital indication of turbidity of the killed suspension in each
sample.
The Incubation Module – this unit operates at the exact temperature
to enhance growth of the test micro-organisms.
Accuracy
Clinical trials have demonstrated precision to be within 2-3%. Speed
and repeatability significantly exceeds that achieved by most proven
manual methods currently in use.
Space Saving
The Autoturb3 System is a compact, self-contained assaycenter requiring
minimal laboratory space.
User Friendly
Test status and error messages are communicated to the operator
promptly.
Data Display
Transmittance or absorbance data is indicated on the Spectrophotometer
digital display with a hard copy print-out of the assay results.
Data Validation
Results reliability easily confirmed by a blue dye test.
Data Output
An RS232-C serial port is provided to allow transfer of results
data to a host computer or database.
Low Maintenance
The micro-processor controlled circuitry and solid state sensor
technology, combined with the built-in self diagnostic routine,
minimizes machine downtime and maintenance costs.
