Pro-C-epT “Great in Small scale”, supplies a complementary
equipment range used for ‘small scale’ (re)-formulation
development, clinical trials, drying kinetic studies and Nutsche
filter drying of powders, granules, pellets, creams, ointments
and gels in the Pharmaceutical and Fine Chemical Industries.
The Pro-C-epT range covers the following processes; granulation
(high shear wet/melt & fluidbed), pelletisation
(high shear wet/melt), coating (fluidbed wet/melt),
drying (spraydrying, fluidbed, microwave and vacuum)
and semi-solid mixing (ultra-turax homogenisation
and gelification).
The very strong market penetration of the Pro-C-epT range is
realised by the continuous understanding of the developer’s
needs, which are translated in high performance development tools,
having following key features;

Small Scale:
the batch sizes are between 40 – 1000 gram by the
use of different process vessels. With small product consumption
in very early product development stage, the process can
be optimised.

Visibility:
the process vessels are made from glass and allow the operator
to witness his complete batch process. The glass creates
easy access for integration of analytical probes like NIR
humidity, LASER particle size,…
|

Scale-up:
between the different batch sizes, scale-ability is studied
as well as scale-up to all types of pilot and production
equipment.

Automation:
the PC software package, offers the complete automation
of the units with real-time trending, recipe handling and
batch reporting in Excel, including a maximum of process
data.

Accuracy:
for every batch size, all process critical parameters (PCP)
are measured, controlled and calibrated to a very high standard.

|
Reproducibility:
the automatic batch reporting of the PCP offers an easy
check of process repeatability.

|
Modularity:
the design of the units allows for easy accessibility,
cleaning and process upgrades at a later moment.
|
|
Containment:
the mechanical and process set-up creates all possibilities
to process in different containment regimes.

|
GMP/GAMP:
besides the calibration of the PCP, a complete qualification
file is available. All product contact parts can be quickly
disassembled and cleaned thoroughly. |

& time with lowest risk ! These “tools”
