With more than 80 years of experience, the engineering company
NNE is a leading supplier of systems, consultancy and engineering
services to the international pharmaceutical and biotechnological
industry.
Our competencies span all technical disciplines applying to engineering,
construction, validation, start-up and optimisation, and reconstruction
of facilities for product development and production plants, pilot
plants and laboratories within the pharmaceutical and biotechnological
field.
Our unmistakable, clear customer focus, combined with a flexible
and integrated organisation where engineers, architects and pharmacists
work closely together, puts us in a position to deliver customised
solutions, ranging from stand-alone services to turnkey plants
- quickly and safely.
NNE operates at an international level. We have worked on and
completed a large number of projects both in Denmark and the rest
of Scandinavia, and we have constructed biotechnological and pharmaceutical
production facilities in USA, China, Japan, Brazil, and France.
NNE's Milestones
2003
In record time, NNE finishes a new insulin plant of 32,000 m2
- the world's biggest insulin plant. Handover takes place in 2003,
and production is expected to start in 2004.
2002
Completion of a new, complete biotechnological plant for production
of the haemophilia medicine FVII for Novo Nordisk A/S. This is
a fast track engineering project completed in only 18 months.
2001
NNE wins an architectural competition together with Carl Bro A/S
and KHR AS Arkitekter for construction of a new Bio centre in
Universitetsparken in Copenhagen, Denmark.At this point in time,
NNE's project portfolio is the biggest ever.
2000
Order for a mammal fermentation and purification plant for NovoSeven®
for Novo Nordisk A/S in Hillerød, Denmark. At the millennium,
the number of employees has passed 1000.
1999
Order for administration and laboratory facilities for Ferring
International Center in Ørestaden, Denmark.
1998
Order for a fermentation and purification pilot plan for Novo
Nordisk A/S in Bagsværd, Denmark.
1997
Order for construction of laboratories for NeuroSearch in Ballerup,
Denmark. ISO 9001 certification. Re-certification in 2000 and
2003 to ISO 9001:2000.
1996
Order for an aseptic filling plant for Novo Nordisk Pharmaceutique
S.A. in Chartres, France.
1995
Order for the highly automated NovoLet® Complet plant for
Novo Nordisk A/S in Hillerød, Denmark.
1994
Order for administration facilities and a biotechnological development
laboratory for Novo Nordisk China Invest in Beijing, China.
1993
Order for an enzyme plant as all-round, total supplier for Novo
Nordisk A/S in Tianjin, China (later a part of Novozymes A/S).
In two years, the number of employees at NNE has doubled.
1992
Order for a research centre for Zymogenetics in Seattle, USA.
1991
NNE A/S is separated out from Novo Nordisk A/S and turned into
an independent subsidiary. Order for expansion of an enzyme plant
for Novo Nordisk A/S in Franklinton, USA (later a part of Novozymes
A/S). At this time, the number of employees is 130.
