Business Divisions

The company divides its business into four core segments. The analytical instruments division produces over 500 different analyzers, including particle size analyzers, pH meters, X-ray microscopes, polarimeters, petroleum testing instruments, elemental composition, materials characterization and other equipment used in either the physical sciences or in advanced materials research.

In the semiconductor and electronics industries, a range of Horiba products support research into new materials and provide the strict quality control required in semiconductor manufacturing processes.

The ABX subsidiary of the Horiba Group supplies medical and diagnostic equipment to the healthcare industry, principally for the testing and analysis of blood samples.

Horiba dominates the world market for engine measurement and testing systems. Our products play a major part in the development of cleaner exhaust systems and fuel-cell technologies, helping to lower the harmful impact of cars on the environment. Horiba is also a leader in environmental testing and measuring equipment, such as instruments used to perform on-site measurements of gas emissions at manufacturing plants.
