Components for laboratory automation
The HiTec Zang LAB-manager process control computer system gives
you a lot of different automation- components together in one compact
device. External signal-transformers, data loggers, closed loop
controllers, PLC's, power supplies etc. are no longer needed. You
easily connect your sensors, valves, pumps, balances etc. using
standardized connectors and suitably configured cables.
The LAB-manager system gives nearly unlimited
possibilities at a real fair price. Designed and manufactured especially
for daily use in the laboratory, the systems are incomparable in
their usability and flexibility in daily work.
Visualization Software
LabVision is a highly respected, high performance process visualization
or SCADA tool. This 32-bit program is particularly suitable for
the visualization and automation of continuous and batch processes
in the laboratory, pilot-plant, mini-plant and production. In conjunction
with a LAB-manager it represents an industrial standard for laboratory
automation. Its main strength lies in its flexible application.
LabVision satisfies the requirements of the NAMUR Working Party
- WP 2.4 in terms of research process control computer systems and
is thus equipped for frequently changing or modified applications.
Even complex recipe - control is done by the push of a button on
a screen.
Evaluation program KalDas
KalDas is a new development in the field of reaction calorimetry.
This program provides you with data that you need for model evaluations
(e.g. scale up) and considerations of energy and safety aspects.
If needed, the evaluation can be changed to account for heat balance
calorimetry or other processes.
KalDas is based on the flexible data analysis program DaDas from
HiTec Zang and can therefore be easily customized to your special
requirements.
The acquired data can be evaluated at the push of a button and
the results are displayed in a free configurable and a clearly arranged
protocol.
KalDas was primarily developed for the HiTec Zang reaction calorimeter.
However there is no stipulation for any special calorimeter i.e.
the program can be tailored to other systems.
Laboratory equipment and sensors

- Dosing systems like our SoliDos solid substance dosing device
or GraviDos the pump-free gravimetric dosing system.
- The ViscoPakt measuring stirrer is a strong torque stirring
system with speed regulation, torque control and state of the
art measurement sensitivity.
RAMOS - Respiration Activity Monitoring System
Shaken bioreactors are outstanding because of their easy handling
and low price. Due to these advantages in comparison to stirred
bioreactors, they are irreplaceable in applications that require
a high number of experiments, e.g. screening for efficient strains
or optimisation of media.
Although shaken bioreactors are frequently used, methods for online
measurement are very limited. This deficit is reduced by RAMOS,
which determines the oxygen transfer rate (OTR), the carbon dioxide
transfer rate (CTR) and the respiratory quotient (RQ) of biological
cultures online. The respiration rates (OTR, CTR) are the most suitable
measurable variables to quantify the physiological state of aerobic
microorganisms.
