Encap has taken the traditional uses of hard capsule liquid fill and developed the following:

Abusolve Abusolve™
 

Abusolve™ - high melting point formulations float in water/alcohol mixtures and do not dissolve in cold drinks thereby providing a useful formulation model for compounds abused in 'date-rape' incidents.

In cases of abuse of CNS drugs (eg Temazepam) the high melting point also defeats simple warming attempts to inject the capsule contents as the formulation sets immediately in the needle.

ChewCaps ChewCaps™
  ChewCaps™ - development of chewable capsules as convenient alternatives to oral liquids for paediatric and geriatric dosing.

Lethaon Capsules Lethaon Capsules™
  Lethaon Capsules™ - the liquid or semi solid formulation can be designed to modify the release characteristics of the compound. Coating the capsule surface can create delays in disintegration. The combination of both approaches together with the Lethaon™ technology that provides two independent capsule chambers offers a very powerful controlling technology that is also unaffected by scale-up.

LayerCaps LayerCaps™
  LayerCaps™ - enables several formulations to be filled into a single capsule.

Organic Sachets Organic Sachets™
  Organic Sachets™ - using large HPMC capsules as disposable containers for liquids and pastes up to 5ml. For single use, eg toothpaste, dosage control of topicals.

Encap has 12 patents covering formulation, coating and the technology of filling and sealing hard capsules.
