Vankel
CSP has been the exclusive UK distributor for Vankel since 1990
and a close working relationship has built up over that time.
Now based in their corporate headquarters in the Research Triangle
area of North Carolina, Vankel, now a subsidiary of Varian Inc.
has, since it's formation been one of the leading manufacturers
of pharmaceutical testing equipment.
Success based on an enviable reputation for reliability and service
has enabled an expansion of the product range over recent years.
This growth has given the company the widest range of instrumentation
in this discipline, backed up by the most comprehensive range
of accessories available.
The development team at Vankel, continue to build on this success
and are without doubt major innovators in the industry.
The main instruments are dissolution bath, disintegration apparatus,
tablet hardness, and sustained release apparatus and an intelligent
multipurpose fraction collector/auto-sampler. A comprehensive
fully automated dissolution system is the latest addition to the
range. This is a joint venture with Varian, utilising some of
their hardware and software.
The combined efforts of Vankel and CSP have made this range of
instrumentation the market leader.
Antek
Antek has been well established for many years as a manufacturer
of elemental analysis instrumentation.
The principle technology of oxidation of the sample by pyrolysis
in oxygen rich atmosphere is well accepted. The following analysis
is then by chemiluminescence for nitrogen and fluorescence for
sulphur.
Antek have a number of patents particularly in the chemiluminescence
techniques, which have brought about a dramatic increase in their
use at low level determinations and have increased the scope of
applications, for which these instruments can be used. This notably
includes the pharmaceutical field where accurate, fast nitrogen
determination is of great value.
This detection technique has been applied for a considerable
time to the output from GC systems and is now being used with
great success as an additional HPLC detector. It is equimolar
and unaffected by diatomic nitrogen. This rapidly expanding sector
is generating a great deal of interest and consequent rapid development.
MODEL 8060 NITROGEN HPLC DETECTORS
Quantify unknown compounds without using the unknown as a reference.
ANTEK's nitrogen HPLC detector saves analysts hours or even months
of work. Its equimolar response allows quantification of all nitrogen-containing
compounds, using any readily available nitrogen standard, over
5 orders of magnitude – complex compounds with a single
standard.

Wescor
Aerospray® Slide Stainers/Cytocentrifuges
Our unique family of automatic slide stainers has applications
in haematology, microbiology, and cytology. With the optional
Cytopro® rotor, the Aerospray stainers become cytocentrifuges
at a fraction of the cost of purchasing a stand-alone cytocentrifuge.
Vapro® Vapour Pressure Osmometer
The Vapro osmometer brings unprecedented simplicity, convenience,
and accuracy to the determination of osmolality for the clinical
laboratory and for researchers
Schmidt & Haensch
The company is a manufacturer of high quality refractometers
& polarimeters for laboratories & process control. It
has a long history of innovation in these fields and traditional
products are now supplemented by new additions such as a colour-measuring
instrument for sugar according to ICUMSA and several new devices
to rationalise work in the laboratory including an automatic dosage
system and a semi-automatic filtration device.
The latest developments in process instrumentation such as in-line
process refractometers to monitor and control processes in different
industrial applications, include a new, intrinsically safe explosion-proof
version for added safety in high-risk environments. Real-time
measuring systems help to control and optimise systems, resulting
in considerable cost reductions for production processes.
The computer aided automated laboratory systems will bring increased
productivity. Based on conventional opto-electronic measuring
instruments the systems can also be upgraded to include pH measurement,
balances, barcode scanners and all necessary instruments for measuring
the most important values in the pharmaceutical industry or for
other specific applications. Results can be collected by a data
acquisition software package, processed, stored in a data bank
and transmitted to a LIMS system for simple seamless analysis.
