Biostatus Limited – The Company

Biostatus Limited was set up in August 2000, to facilitate the exploitation of novel intellectual property from two UK Universities in the biotechnology and healthcare market sectors.

Our first product, DRAQ5™ was launched in June 2001 and is the forerunner to a novel series of DNA probes with unique far red/low infra-red fluorescence signatures and wide applications in routine and research laboratories utilising flow cytometry and fluorescence imaging methods.

Our corporate mission is to:-

• invent, develop and market red-fluorescent probes for use in cell-based research, industry and healthcare diagnostics
  
• expand these markets through the development of complementary detection and screening technologies
