Asterand, Inc – The CompanyAsterand operates a human tissue and blood bank for both commercial and academic research. The bank has been accrued from a worldwide network of donor sites. Material is accrued to the highest ethical and quality standards. For example frozen samples are tested for RNA quality using the Agilent bioanalyzer. Each sample is accompanied with extensive clinical information and high resolution digital images. The bank contains over 70,000 samples representing every therapeutic area of pharmacologic interest. Researchers are able to access this information via our online database. Tissue Microarrays(TMAs) representing different diseases are available. We also build customized tissue microarrays designed to your specific requirements. Asterand offers a wide range of tissue-based isolations, histopathology, Immunohistochemistry and In situ Hybridization services to meet your specific research needs. Molecular extracts of tissues such as RNA, DNA and Protein can
be made available from tissues of your interest. In addition, we
have six newly characterized prostate cell lines available immediately.
