As the PressureWatch is simply an indicator, it does not require regular calibration.

The sensitivity can be adjusted to indicate a fault condition across the range from 2Pa to 16PA (0.2mm to 1.6mm water pressure) whilst the unit can be used in excess of 20P for normal working.

The unit is normally mounted through the wall just above head height with the main part in the low pressure side or corridor. It has two coloured balls; Green and Red, which are permitted to move up the sloping tube by the small amount of air which bleeds through the unit.

The Green ball is only visible when there is adequate differential pressure, but if there is a fall in pressure then only the Red ball is visible. The system works like a set of traffic lights and is easy to set up and interpret.

The unit can also be used for negative pressures as found in fume cupboards and in packaging areas. In this mode the coloured balls are changed over and the body of the unit rotated 180° - a process only taking a few seconds.

The standard unit is designed for walls/partitions up to 200mm thick. An extended length unit is also available for walls/partitions 201mm to 350mm thick. Alternative options are also available.
