Wouldn't it be wonderful if you could "borrow" some of the most experienced CRAs to assist your new or green field staff? And then have a comprehensive unbiased and consistent report for each CRA that you can add to their training records and CV to confirm their proficiency in the field. FDA has mandated that companies employing field staff, especially CRAs certify that the people filling these positions are qualified to do the CRA job. But, what most companies use to document CRAs proficiency is simply the training record of the employee listing what classes and courses the employee has attended in addition to the employee's resume or CV noting previous job experience and education. Rarely are documents evaluating the personnel performing their assigned job duties of monitoring on site added to these files. If site assessment documents exist, many times an employee-peer or manager completes them and there is little consistency between the evaluators. Because most evaluators are also employees, there is no independent third party advantage to presenting this documentation as unbiased and wholly objective.
